Field Service Engineer - Southeast USA
Applicant must be based in one of the following cities. Atlanta - GA, Dallas or Houston - TX
Showcase your electro-mechanical skills and your dedication to customer satisfaction in this position based in Atlanta, Dallas or Houston.
You’ll perform field installation, maintenance, customer training, and service for Serveron products (transformer gas analyzers and battery and cell monitoring systems). Collaborating with colleagues in manufacturing, engineering, sales, and marketing, you will interface with customers to understand their requirements, expedite repairs, improve operational efficiency, reduce future service problems, and address product quality, functionality, and reliability issues.
To qualify for this position, you’ll need:
Minimum of three to five years field service experience
Associates degree, military electronics training, or comparable combination of training and experience
Knowledge and experience in troubleshooting and repair of electronic, electromechanical mechanical and fluid handling systems.
Valid driver’s license and a driving record
acceptable to our insurance carrier
Strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills
Ability to work independently with minimal direction—and to collaborate with colleagues in other disciplines
Relentless attention to detail and commitment to quality
Propensity for getting the job done right the first time and must be willing to go the extra mile to verify that the job has been completed according to quality standards.
Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office suite and Windows based programs, as well as in the use of email, voicemail, cell phone.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Mechanical aptitude and skilled in the use of hand and power tools
Demonstrated skills in problem solving
Ability to perform occasional heavy lifting up to 70 lbs
Must project a professional presence in front of the customer as liaison between Serveron and the substation personnel
If you meet all these qualifications, AND you are bi-lingual, fluent in Spanish, you're our ideal candidate
This position will often require a demanding travel schedule -- extensive domestic (up to 75%) and occasional international travel. Domestic travel includes travel within the southeast as well as customer visits outside the region
